Call for Submissions

Presentation of IEEE SPL and T-IFS papers

We kindly invite the authors of papers accepted in IEEE SPS journals Signal Processing Letters (SPL) and Transactions on Information Forensics and Security (T-IFS) to present their work during a special session at IEEE WIFS. Note that, to be eligible, papers must have been published or accepted during year 2022.
This session should be organized as an oral special session; however, if too many submissions are proposed we may shift the format to a "poster like" session.

Interesting to give your paper more visibility? Want to give more attention to your paper?  Want to submit your paper?
Nothing is easiest: just send us an email to: wifs2022@utt.fr with a reference to your paper (DOI or link to IEEExplore) by December 13th 2022.

Rump Session

Rump session is the place to present your recent findings that can be interesting for IFS community (and with which you don't expect to make the IEEE SPS best paper). Presentations at the rump session are intended to be an informal, short and entertaining description of recent research results. Non-technical but entertaining presentations are also (actually, particularly!) welcome.
So if you have any breaking news or interesting stories to share with the IFS community, please share them with the community by asking a lot at the rump session:
Simply send us an email to: wifs2022@utt.fr with the title of the presentation and the authors' name before December 14th 2022.

Three-Minutes-Thesis (3MT) Competition

The Technical Program Chairs of IEEE WIFS 2022 are delighted to propose a Three-Minutes-Thesis (3MT) Competition.

“Three Minute Thesis" (3MT®) is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ) where PhD students are challenged to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance in just three minutes in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
3MT is not an exercise in trivializing or ‘dumbing-down’ research but , instead, It is an exercise for students to consolidate their ideas so they can present them concisely to an audience specialized in different areas. Together with scientific and technical quality, this challenge aims at developing transversal skills of PhD researchers such as oral and presentation skills. In addition, it is aimed at  helping students to gain visibility of their work.

Rules for IEEE WIFS 2022 3MT Competition:
  • Any PhD student is eligible ;
  • Participation can be made by submitting a video of 3 minutes; However, a live presentation during the conference is deeply encouraged ;
  • Presentations are limited to 3 minutes maximum and competitors exceeding 3 minutes are disqualified ;
  • The participants are free to make any type of oral presentation (using slides or a poster or any video material); the only two limitations are:
    • the Presentations are to be spoken word (e.g. no poems, raps or songs) ;
    • the language must not be offensive to anyone in any manner.
